All-on-4 Dental Implants

Missing an entire arch of teeth can significantly affect your health, comfort, and confidence. And if you have jawbone recession, you might have been told you do not qualify for dental implants

All-on-4® is an innovative dental implant placement technique offered at Malki Dental. It allows our team to restore a full arch of teeth on four implants – in just one day

Because the doctor can anchor your denture with only four strategically placed implants, the All-on-4 method is much more cost-effective than traditional techniques.

For many patients missing a full arch of teeth, All-on-4® dental implants offer a cost-effective method for restoring the form and function of their smiles. Using this special technique, Dr. Stephen J. Malki can anchor a full denture with only four implants at our practice in River Edge, NJ. In certain cases, patients can even walk out of the office with a temporary restoration on the same day of their placement surgery.

Why Choose All-on-4?

Six to eight traditional implants are often necessary to support a full denture. In contrast, the All-on-4 technique only uses four. Consequently, this treatment can offer:

  • Affordability
  • Shorter treatment times
  • Immediate restoration
  • Less invasive procedure

Furthermore, because the implants are inserted at an angle to maximize stability, many patients who have lost jawbone tissue can still qualify for treatment without a bone graft. As a result, you can minimize both the timeline and cost of your procedure.

Do I Qualify for All-on-4?

The All-on-4 method is designed for patients missing most or all of their teeth. But while it is more accessible than traditional implants, the technique is not appropriate for everyone. In some cases, extensive bone loss in certain areas of the jaw may still necessitate a bone graft.

In order to determine if All-on-4 implants are a good fit, Dr. Malki will meet with you during a consultation at our office. After a discussion of your health history and goals for treatment, we will use our 3D cone beam imaging system to take a three dimensional image of your teeth, gums, and jaw that we can use to plan your treatment.

The doctor will also perform a comprehensive examination of your smile to check for gum disease or other health conditions. We can provide treatment for these problems before your procedure to maximize your chance of success.

The Treatment Process

At Malki Dental, you can undergo the entire implant treatment at our office. Dr. Malki can plan your care and perform any preparatory procedure you need, including bone grafts and periodontal treatment.

The All-on-4 implant procedure can make treatment more accessible to those who have lost bone tissue.

On the day of your procedure, we will first make sure you are completely comfortable. Then, Dr. Malki will make small incisions in your gums to access the jawbone and strategically embed four implants into the jaw. With the All-on-4 method, the two implants in the back of the jaw are placed at an angle to take advantage of the densest bone tissue and create a stable foundation for your dentures.

If you qualify for immediate placement, Dr. Malki will attach a temporary restoration to your implants on the same day as your surgery. After implant placement, it takes three to six months for the implants to fuse with the surrounding bone tissue. This process, known as osseointegration, ensures your implants are stable enough to support your permanent dentures. When your implants are healed, we will take digital impressions and then craft and place your final restoration.
