Missing an entire arch of teeth can significantly affect your health, comfort, and confidence. And if you have jawbone recession, you might have been told you do not qualify for dental implants.
All-on-4® is an innovative dental implant placement technique offered at Malki Dental. It allows our team to restore a full arch of teeth on four implants – in just one day.
Why does Dr. Malki highly recommended All-on-4 for his patients in River Edge, Paramus, and Bergen County, NJ?
All-on-4 Offers Distinct Advantages
Two implants are placed at an angle to maximize the existing jawbone tissue, often eliminating the need for bone grafting.
A high-quality temporary denture can be placed the same day as your procedure so you never have to go without a complete smile.
Since fewer implants and preparatory procedures are needed, the All-on-4 method is typically a lower cost implant treatment.
How do All-on-4 implants work?
A Reliable Solution
I'm interested...but do I qualify?
As with any restorative treatment, your smile must first be free of health problems like gum disease and tooth decay.
Although All-on-4 implants help many patients avoid the need for bone grafting, they still require a certain amount of bone tissue for support.
All-on-4 is designed to replace an entire upper or lower dental arch by supporting a full denture with four implants.
His Skills Don't Get Enough Recognition
“The rave reviews of Dr. Malki's staff and facilities are well deserved, but his skills don't get enough recognition. I'm a diabetic, Dr. Maliki performed an all on 4 implant procedure on my lower jaw and it was virtually pain free. Dr. Malkin is simple the best.”
The Treatment Process
At Malki Dental, you can undergo the entire implant treatment at our office. Dr. Malki can plan your care and perform any preparatory procedure you need, including bone grafts and periodontal treatment.
The All-on-4 implant procedure can make treatment more accessible to those who have lost bone tissue.
On the day of your procedure, we will first make sure you are completely comfortable. Then, Dr. Malki will make small incisions in your gums to access the jawbone and strategically embed four implants into the jaw. With the All-on-4 method, the two implants in the back of the jaw are placed at an angle to take advantage of the densest bone tissue and create a stable foundation for your dentures.
If you qualify for immediate placement, Dr. Malki will attach a temporary restoration to your implants on the same day as your surgery. After implant placement, it takes three to six months for the implants to fuse with the surrounding bone tissue. This process, known as osseointegration, ensures your implants are stable enough to support your permanent dentures. When your implants are healed, we will take digital impressions and then craft and place your final restoration.
I've Suffered Bone Atrophy. How Can All-on-4 Help?
All-on-4 is specifically designed to maximize contact with your available bone tissue to achieve stability. This is achieved by placing the two back implants at angles, rather than vertically.
How Much Does All-on-4 Cost Compared to Traditional Implants?
Because All-on-4 uses fewer implants than a denture supported by traditional implants, you can expect to pay less when your doctor uses this technique.
Can I Head Straight to the Steakhouse after Surgery?
We don't recommend it. Instead, plan to go home and rest for a few days, eating only soft foods. Although you will leave our office with a fully restored smile and stable dentures, you must remember that your implants and jaw are still becoming integrated, a process which will take about three to six months.
This doesn't necessarily mean a rare steak is off limits while you heal, but it does mean you must take time to cut it into very small pieces in order to avoid straining the implants and bone tissue.
